Our motto is "It feels good to feel good."
As Pittsburgh Magazine liked to put it, my life is like a romantic comedy: "A Big City girl moves to a small town to follow her dream of opening a health food store and ends up falling in love in the process: head-over-heels for Sewickley and her new life here."
From Pittsburgh Magazine and writer Kristy Graver she told the creation story best: "While in Pittsburgh visiting friends (HGTV star Leanne Ford and her husband, Erik Allen Ford, co-founder of the Buck Mason clothing brand), Blaney watched "It's Complicated," a Nancy Meyers film starring Steve Martin and Meryl Streep. In the movie, the main characters have a bakery; a clean, bright, and airy space with a legion of loyal patrons.
Mic's is like a healthier version of Streep's make-believe shop. "It's Complicated" taught her the importance of living simply."

Mic's Market is an upscale micro grocer that debuted on Oct. 14, 2022, to a sold-out crowd. In addition to offering better-for-you snacks, beverages, and deli options, this former Subway restaurant now serves hot, homemade grub that, despite its nutritional value, tastes like a Cheat Day indulgence. Our unique and high-quality offerings have left our customers coming back for more.

We offer a hot food bar daily from 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. (or until it's gone). The menu, which incorporates fresh, seasonal ingredients, is posted each day on our website and Instagram.
We also have shelves of the BEST of each category featuring ingredients you can pronounce without added chemicals, preservatives, or refined sugar.
We also host a full-service smoothie bar with not your typical "Pittsburgh smoothies." They are packed with protein and are nutritious meals.

I wanted to create a vibe and food that makes you FEEL GOOD.
As a Canadian native, I spent 12 years in Los Angeles, California, where I owned and operated a star-studded, full-service digital marketing agency. However, I began to suffer from burnout. This personal experience led me to a new path, one that was deeply rooted in my lifelong obsession with clean eating.

I bolstered by my lifelong obsession with clean eating, I became a certified health coach, sober living advocate, and online wellness influencer with over 55,000 followers.
I married my obsession with food and wellness, my expertise in marketing, and my creativity to create Mic's.
It's a true culmination of everything I'm most passionate about and the very best at!
At Mic's Market, our mission is simple: we want people to live well and feel good. In a world where it's often difficult to trust what you're eating, we've made it our business to offer delicious, feel-good food you can trust.
Our eating philosophy is 80% clean, 20% indulgence. We avoid seed oils, chemicals, and preservatives, but we also understand that some things don't taste the same without indulgence (cue Hellman's mayo in some of our offerings, nothing beats it!). That's the 20%.
We can't do it all, but the things we do, we do the very best.
